Set your rack count and density to see indicative power, cooling, UPS, generator and floor-space requirements.
Total number of IT racks planned for the facility.
Capacity multiplier applied to UPS & generator sizing.
Facility power ÷ IT power. Lower is more efficient.
Includes hot/cold aisle and service clearance.
IT load multiplied by target PUE — what the utility feed needs to deliver.
IT load = racks × density. Facility power = IT load × PUE. Cooling capacity assumes all IT power is rejected as heat (1 ton ≈ 3.52 kW). UPS capacity = IT load ÷ 0.9 power factor × redundancy factor. Generator capacity = facility power × redundancy factor × 1.2 starting margin. These are planning-stage figures for early budgeting and conversations with your engineering team — not a substitute for a full mechanical/electrical design.
