Run the numbers

Every field is editable and results update as you type. These are planning estimates: they will get you to a shortlist, not to a stamped drawing.

PUE calculator

Total facility power against IT load. The single number every efficiency conversation starts from.

—

IT power load

Work forward from rack count and density to the facility draw you have to supply. Diversity accounts for racks never all peaking together.

—

UPS sizing

Size the UPS for the load you will grow into, at the redundancy you actually need.

—

Battery autonomy

How long the battery actually holds the load before the generator has to be there.

—

Cooling load

Convert the heat you are putting into the room into tonnage on the plant.

—

Rack count and white space

Turn a load target into rack positions and floor area.

—

Annual energy cost

What the facility costs to run for a year, and what a better PUE returns.

—

Carbon footprint

Annual emissions from facility consumption, net of renewable supply. The India grid average is about 0.71 kg CO₂ per kWh.

—

Video storage

Storage for a surveillance deployment at a given retention period.

—

Network bandwidth

Sustained throughput for streaming or replication, with headroom.

—

Generator sizing

Standby generator rating including the cooling and auxiliary load it has to pick up.

—

AMC cost estimate

Indicative annual maintenance contract value for installed plant.

—

Payback and ROI

How long an efficiency or automation investment takes to pay for itself.

—

Data centre health score

A composite read across efficiency, availability, utilisation, asset age and incident rate.

About these calculators

How accurate are the results?

Accurate enough to size a shortlist and sanity-check a vendor quote. They use standard engineering relationships with typical assumptions, and they do not account for site altitude, ambient design conditions, harmonic loading or local code. Detailed design needs measured data.

Is my input stored or sent anywhere?

No. All arithmetic happens in your browser. There is no analytics call attached to these forms and no server receives the values.

What emission factor should I use for carbon?

The India grid average is around 0.71 kg CO2 per kWh, which is the default here. If your utility publishes a state or regional figure, or you have a power purchase agreement, use that instead.

Can we get these as a spreadsheet?

Yes. Ask and we will send the working models, including the assumptions each one makes, so your own engineers can audit them.

Tell us what you are building

Send a brief, a floor plan or a single-line diagram. We reply with an approach, a rough capacity envelope and an honest view of what it takes to run.
